Quick Tips

Online bids can be placed either on the catalog pages (with multiple items listed) or individual item pages. Both work the same.

Bid Boxes

There are 2 bid boxes on the page – “Your Bid” and “Max Bid”. Each works differently.

Your Bid – Any bid placed in this box will be entered in the system IMMEDIATELY in its full amount. For example, if the next required bid is $10.00, and $100.00 is entered in “Your Bid”, then the system will raise your bid IMMEDIATELY to $100.00.

Max Bid – Any bid placed in this box will be entered in the system UP TO its full amount. For example, if the next required bid is $10.00, and $100.00 is entered in “Max Bid”, then the system will raise your bid to $10.00. The system will then continue to bid for you against other bidders UP TO your max bid of $100.00 in the increments set in the bid increments table.

You may use either box or both boxes when bidding.

Submitting the Bid

1. After entering an amount in the bid box, scroll to the bottom of the page. Enter your bidder number and password, and then click “Submit Bids”.

2. When placing your first bid in an auction, the next screen will ask you to accept the terms and conditions for the auction. You must accept the terms and conditions to continue.

3. The next page is the confirmation page. Review your bid amount on this page. Then scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Submit Bids”.

Important! If you do not click “Submit Bids” on this page, your bid will not be entered into the system!

If there is an error with your bid amount, click on the “Cancel Bids …” link and return to the previous screen. Then re-submit the correct amount.

4. The next page will inform you if your bid has been accepted. It will also show you if you are currently the high bidder, or if someone who has previously placed a higher max bid has outbid you.
