Register to Bid for an Online Auction

This video will walk you through the process of registering to bid for an auction.

Quick Tips

There are 3 links in the upper right hand corner of each page. The one on the left is “Register to Bid”.

1. After clicking the “Register to Bid” link, you will be taken to the pre-registration page.

2. On this page, there is a listing of sample terms and conditions for online auctions. Some items are auction specific and will need to be read for the particular auction.

3. After reading the terms, click the yellow arrow that reads “Register Now” to be taken to the registration page.

4. On this page, all items with a red asterisk must be filled out.

5. It is recommended that you create a strong password consisting on letters and numbers.

6. When entering your address, please use the billing address of the credit card you are using to register for the auction. This is the address that the authorization system will check.

7. Your credit card is initially used as an identity verification tool. The system will place an authorization of $1.00 on the card, which will be released automatically, when you place your first bid in the auction.

Note: The CC Security Number is located on the back of your card in the signature block. It is the last 3 numbers listed.

8. Check the box to agree to the terms and conditions for the auction.

9. Click “Submit Registration Form”.

10. You will receive your bidder number via the email address that used for the registration. It typically takes only a few minutes. If you have not received it shortly, be sure to check your Spam folder, as sometimes the email is sent to spam.
